The CVI Flow Cytometry Core Providing training, expertise and access to flow cytometry equipment to the Athens and Atlanta Research community.

The Flow Cytometry Core is located in the CVI, Room 1557

Our instrument: FACSAria Fusion

Equipped with 4 lasers (Violet, Blue, Yellow, and Red) and exclusively operated by the Flow Core staff.

  • Up to 13 colors sorting for immunophenotyping
  • Sorting and analysis of CFP, GFP, YFP, mRFP, mTomato, CFP and mCherry gene expression proteins
  • DNA analysis using standard dyes (Hoeschst, DAPI, PI, 7-AAD, etc.)
  • Sorting stem cell side populations
  • Sorting into 15ml falcon, 5ml FACS tubes and Eppendorf or single cell sorting into 6, 24, 48, 96, or 384-well plates for culture and slides
  • Biohazardous cell sorting for BSL2 infected samples
